OWASCOMAN TRIATHLON BIKE ROUTE (For pdf - Click Here)

1. The OwascoMan Triathlon Bike Route shall start and end on Deauville Island
   at Emerson Park in Auburn and shall be 14.75 miles in length.
2. The OwascoMan Triathlon Bike Route shall travel through the Town of
   Fleming and the City of Auburn and will be entirely within the County of Cayuga.
3. All intersections and pertinent crossroads on the OwascoMan Bike Course will
   be marshaled by volunteers and when required, Law Enforcement personnel or Fire
   Police.
   
4. There will be one aid station on the OwascoMan Bike Course that will be
   located on Silver Street Road near Townline Road.
   
5. The Bike Route will leave the transition area in Emerson park and proceed
   directly to the traffic circle which is controlled by the Cayuga County Sheriffs
   Department. Cyclist will be directed around the traffic circle by Sheriffs Deputies
   and Race Volunteers onto West Lake Road and travel south. A right turn onto
   Mobbs Road will be controlled by Race Volunteers. Riders will continue south on Mobbs Road which flows into Silver Street Road. Silver Street Road then becomes Gilling Road as bikers continue south. This is at the intersection with Townline Road which will be controlled by Fire Police. At the intersection with Skillet Road the course turns west (right turn) and then bears right onto Old State Road. Cyclist then turn right onto St Rt 34(South Street Road) and proceed north. This intersection will be controlled by Fire Police. Riders continue north on South Street Road into the City of Auburn and will turn right (east) on Metcalf Drive. The course will then turn right again on Lake Avenue and travel south back to the traffic circle. The two intersections in the City of Auburn will be controlled by the Auburn Police Department. Cayuga County Deputies will assist cyclist around the traffic circle with the flow of traffic back into the transition area in the park.
   
6. The OwascoMan Bike Course will be conspicuously marked with signs with
   direction arrows as well as course mileage.
   
7. Helmets are mandatory for all race participants and must be strapped on or
   face race disqualification.
   
8. No audio devices of any kind will be allowed on the OwascoMan Bike Course
   for safety reasons. Violators will face a mandatory disqualification.
   
9. The OwascoMan Bike Course will be marshaled by Race Officials for drafting
   and other violations stated within the USAT rules and regulations. Violations will be subject to time penalties or disqualification.
